Odiham and King John’s Castle

A walk along the Basingstoke canal never disappoints and this one has some bonus features such as a waterside pub, a ford to paddle in and the free to entre ruins of King John’s Castle.

Dogmersfield

The restored Basingstoke Canal is a beautiful place to walk or navigate. It is a haven for wildlife and rich in history. This walk takes you around one of the most attractive sections between Dogmersfield and Winchfield.

Crabtree Plantation

This little nature reserve packs in an awful lot. We managed to spend a few hours here last winter, and in the summer we probably could have spent even more!

Up Nately

You will find plenty of wildlife to spot on this walk, which follows the unrestored section of Basingstoke canal. The area is rich in wild garlic in late spring and if you are lucky, there will be fields of yellow rapeseed too.
