Pub Walks in Hampshire
Warm fires, refreshing drinks, tasty food, shady beer gardens…who doesn’t love a pub stop on a walk? And better still, if they have something to keep the children entertained while you refuel and recharge.
Here are some of our favourites:
The walk passes directly by Marwell Wildlife, where you stand a good chance of spotting animals from rhino to zebra.
The pub, The Ship Inn, has a large garden with a children’s play area.
The walk is a linear one that crosses the River Test multiple times before arriving at Houghton where there is a large ford for paddling.
The pub, The Boot Inn, has a large garden that tumbles down to the river.
The walk gently makes it way beside a young River Itchen with a little ford for paddling.

The walk hugs the coastline from the pretty harbour town of Emsworth.

The walk climbs the historic zig-zag path where you will be rewarded with great views.

As if the village play area on this short and easy countryside walk wasn’t enough, The White Hart also has a brilliant play area in its rear garden. Plenty of outdoor covered seating too for parents to watch the kids!
