Abinger Roughs
This is a linear walk that features plenty of things to keep young walkers motivated from ancient trees, a tea-room, riverside pubs with play areas, a natural woodland play area, a village playground, a paddling spot and a farm shop.
Fordingbridge
The wide shallow ford at Fordingbridge has to be the best place to paddle in Hampshire and just to add to it, the park next door has its own paddling pool too. You can park up next to the site, or follow our walk from the forest's edge.
Southwater Country Park
Cripplegate Lake is at the centre of Southwater Country Park near Horsham. It has a paddling beach and a Dinosaur Island adventure play area.
Chilworth Gunpowder Mills
Hidden among the trees beside the River Tillingbourne are the remnants of our industrial heritage. As well as uncovering the ruins from the gunpowder mills, children can also find a paddling area in one of the old waterways.
Odiham and King John’s Castle
A walk along the Basingstoke canal never disappoints and this one has some bonus features such as a waterside pub, a ford to paddle in and the free to entre ruins of King John’s Castle.
Radford Park
This tiny country park on the edge of Liphook is a valuable habitat for local wildlife. It comprises a small area of woodland and water meadow and The River Wey makes its journey through the centre. Families enjoy coming here to walk the dog and dip their toes in the shallow waters.
Wickham Water Meadows
The River Meon, which children and dogs can access at the water meadows, flows through the large village of Wickham. Our walk follows a section of the Meon Valley Trail and passes by this popular spot.
Chilling Coastal Area
Take the easy to follow path, passing woodland and streams, to find a large beach backed by cliffs and excellent coastal walks.
Swanmore to St. Clair’s Meadow
A delightful country walk connecting Swanmore and Soberton with sections beside The River Meon and along The Meon Valley Trail.
