Easy walks for the whole family
Hampshire Surrey West Sussex
Levin Down
There are some gorgeous villages in this part of the South Downs and this walk links two of them, Singleton and Charlton. Both have great pubs and Singleton has a brilliant play area. The two villages are overlooked by Levin Down, a hillside covered in natural grassland.
Itchen Navigation
This linear route explores the section of the Itchen way between Allbrook and Bishopstoke. The water is in view to your side throughout the whole walk and it is easy to spot wildlife in the clear water. The recreation ground in Bishopstoke provided a sensible turning back point, after a play at the little park.
Nether Wallop
West of Stockbridge, three charming villages are strung together by the Wallop Brook. Our walk starts in Nether Wallop and loops around Middle and Over Wallop. Nether Wallop holds the biggest attractions for children, which include a delightful riverside picnic area and an outstanding park
Street Croft Farm
Street Croft Farm, between Alton and Basingstoke, is a working farm with farm shop and café. Kids can see a wide range of farm animals before starting our walk where you will find bluebells and golden fields of rapeseed.
Norbury Park
This historic parkland between Leatherhead and Dorking is a much valued place for recreational walks. Multiple trails pass through woodland, grassland and beside the river Mole, revealing fabulous views along the way.
Stroud & Lythe Hanger
Starting from a popular pub on the outskirts of Petersfield, this walk climbs through farmland to a ridge, where there are views to Butser Hill. The countryside is blissfully peaceful and you will enjoy a sprinkling of bluebells on the descent.
Every Ambling Path walk has a stand out feature that children will love including magnificent play areas, shallow rivers for paddling, epic country parks and ancient ruins to explore.
