Cripplegate Lake is at the centre of Southwater Country Park near Horsham. It has a paddling beach and a Dinosaur Island adventure play area.

There are plenty of reasons for making a visit to the attractive West Sussex town of Arundel and this walk around Arundel Park, taking in Swanbourne Lake and Hirone Tower is definitely one of them.

Nestled at the centre of The South Downs, Midhurst is home to the country estate of Cowdray. Our easy, pushchair friendly walk begins at their excellent farm shop and café and passes by the polo grounds and impressive heritage ruins.

This has always been a popular walk owing to its easy flat paths, foreshore, marina, café and many benches where you can stop and admire the view of Prinsted Bay and the wider Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Ideally placed at the entrance to the marina, the Boat House Café has seating looking out across the harbour. You can make your way there, whilst admiring the boats, along flat, paved paths.

Picture postcard Bosham is the kind of place you will want to spend an entire day. As well as this walk there are craft shops, galleries, tea-rooms, pubs, a quay, stream and views of Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

A glance at a map will show that much of the West Sussex coastline is built up with a breaks of countryside remaining. This walk follows one of those gaps to offer the best of coast and country to your left and right!
