Titchfield Haven

The Meon River completes its journey at Titchfield Haven National Nature Reserve, a 369 acre site of river, fen, pools, reedbed and meadows. There are eight bird hides from which to enjoy the wide variety of wildlife, and on the east side they are connected by a series of boardwalks. Tickets need to be purchased from the visior centre.

What’s new?

  • A little change to this route at Whitchurch means you can now start it at the silk mill and pass a play area. This one has been really popular on our social media, so have a look and see why.

  • Path improvements mean that this walk around the Chidham Peninsula in Chichester Harbour National Landscape can now be done at low or high tide.

  • Daffodil Valley at Valley Gardens, Windsor Great Park is not to be missed in March. It was the perfect time to update this walk whilst enjoying daffodils as far as the eye could see.

  • We went back for another walk around Frensham Little Pond and have adapted the route slightly to include Snowball Ridge viewpoint. The rest of the route circles the pond and ends at the cafe overlooking the water.

  • A brand new walk around Bishop’s Waltham! The same starting point at the palace ruins, but a new circuit that crosses the river and goes through a peaceful nature reserve.

  • Our walk from Titchfield Abbey still includes the abbey and the play area, but it now starts from lovely Titchfield and includes a little stretch of the canal and five pubs.
