Church Norton
Pagham Harbour is a nature reserve on one of the few undeveloped stretches of the Sussex coastline. It is a wildlife haven and contains important habitats for birds and even seals! Our walk also includes a large, quiet shingle beach.
Lepe Country Park
The Lepe Loop will take you along the beach, returning via woodland and fields. It starts and finishes at Lepe Country Park where there is plenty for families to do. You will want to set aside a day for this one!
Titchfield Haven
The Meon River completes its journey at Titchfield Haven National Nature Reserve, a 369 acre site of river, fen, pools, reedbed and meadows. There are eight bird hides from which to enjoy the wide variety of wildlife, and on the east side they are connected by a series of boardwalks. Tickets need to be purchased from the visior centre.
Hayling Billy Line
The Hayling Billy Trail is a former railway track that used to bring tourists down to holiday by the sea. Nowadays the route provides a brilliantly flat multi-use path for walkers and cyclists along the entire western shore of the island.
Frensham Little Pond
Frensham Little Pond is less visited than its more well known big brother, Frensham Great Pond. Unlike the latter, you cannot bathe at the little pond which means wildlife thrives in the water and surrounding woods and heath.
Chilling Coastal Area
Take the easy to follow path, passing woodland and streams, to find a large beach backed by cliffs and excellent coastal walks.
Ferry Point
When the tide is out, this quiet, dog friendly corner of Hayling Island provides a sandy beach and sand dunes. A great place for a family stroll by the sea.
Sandy Point
As the name suggests, this is a little sandy corner of Hayling Island’s coastline. This is an easy walk around it with easy views to Chichester Harbour.
Frensham Great Pond
You might not expect to find a green flag beach in land-locked Surrey, but there is one that you can enjoy on this walk on the banks of Frensham Great Pond.
