Easy walks for the whole family
Hampshire Surrey Sussex
Ashford Hangers
Ashford Hangers comprises 323 acres of wooded hillside, much of it beech trees. The views from the top are well worth the climb and this is also one of the best places to find wild garlic in Hampshire.
Kingley Vale
Kingley Vale, near Chichester, is one of the UK’s original national nature reserves with some of the oldest trees in the country. It is a truly atmospheric place to walk, and as well as the grove of ancient trees, you will also find spectacular views that stretch as far as the sea.
Waggoners Wells
The short walk here always seems to take us hours as the children are so busy feeding the ducks, climbing the tree trunks, splashing in the ford, making dens and enjoying what feels like one natural playground to them.
Every Ambling Path walk has a stand out feature that children will love including magnificent play areas, shallow rivers for paddling, epic country parks and ancient ruins to explore.
Covering two national parks and two national landscapes, our detailed guides have all the information you need to get the whole family out walking right away.
