Runnymede
Runnymede, the birthplace of modern democracy, is now a beautiful open space of meadows beside The River Thames. The area is managed by The National Trust and throughout the site, you can find various art installations and memorials. Riverside walks connect you to the pleasure grounds.
Langley Vale Centenary Woodland
To commemorate the centenary of the First World War, The Woodland Trust planted four new woodlands. Langley Vale Wood has seen the successful re-generation of arable land to a wildlife haven. You will also find memorial sculptures and a wooden play area.
Winnal Moors
Just a stone’s throw from the heart of Winchester is this wetland nature reserve, known as the gateway to The River Itchen. The all access pathways take you over reedbeds, past ponds and sections of the river.

Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Park is a brand new 40-acre open space near Fareham provided as a lasting commemoration to Her late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth.
