Beacon Hill

You cannot miss this walk if you are a fan of Downton Abbey as the view from the top of this iron age hill fort has views to Highclere Castle. These have to be the most far reaching views we have found in Hampshire, and you can enjoy them in every direction.

What’s new?

  • We made a return to Chilbolton Cow Common where the girls paddled in the River Test under the winter sun.

  • We couldn’t turn down the offer to try a roast dinner at The Exchequer. Find it on one of our Basingstoke canal walks.

  • This paddling and pub walk at Fishbourne Meadows got a route revamp to take out some of the muddier fields.

  • Rural Strides invited us to come on a guided night walk on The South Downs. It was an incredible experience and we learnt lots about the night sky. If you want to join Rural Strides on their next night walk, you can register your interest below.
