Hayling Billy Line
The Hayling Billy Trail is a former railway track that used to bring tourists down to holiday by the sea. Nowadays the route provides a brilliantly flat multi-use path for walkers and cyclists along the entire western shore of the island.
Ferry Point
When the tide is out, this quiet, dog friendly corner of Hayling Island provides a sandy beach and sand dunes. A great place for a family stroll by the sea.
Sandy Point
As the name suggests, this is a little sandy corner of Hayling Island’s coastline. This is an easy walk around it with easy views to Chichester Harbour.

We took a trip down to Southsea to check out the new sea defences and promenade. You can now walk from the aquarium as far as Speakers Corner near the pier.
-
Rural Strides invited us to come on a guided night walk on The South Downs. It was an incredible experience and we learnt lots about the night sky. If you want to join Rural Strides on their next night walk, you can register your interest below.

We made a return visit to Testwood Lakes near Southampton and updated our route with information on how to find this replica Bronze Age roundhouse.
